Newly Formed Stoner Metal Act VARIM Release Debut Single ‘Die Or’ [South Korea]

South Korea has a new stoner metal band called VARIM who’ve just dropped their debut single ‘Die Or’.

The band states, “The song has the lyric “I’d rather choose death than to be with people who are riddled with dirty desires, and are selfish” which addresses toxic people”. The band features members of grindcore band Pigeon Grinder, doom band Green Frog and nu-metal band Teardrop. Varim was formed in 2020 and is influenced by bands such as Sleep, Mastodon, Kyuss, and Black Sabbath and have several releases in the works for 2024.
