ORANG PLANET is a Malaysian post-punk band from Kota Kinabalu formed back in 2009. The band is heavily influenced by the 70s and 80s post punk music such as Xmal Deutschland, Killing Joke, Magazine, Joy Division and others.
The band has just dropped 2 new tracks off their upcoming EP. “Since each one of us don’t have that much time to focus on writing music because of life commitments, work, and daily routines, so any band meeting, recording, gig or touring must be discussed and well planned months or years ahead. For example, these 2 tracks we released were done a few years ago so finally we decided to release these tracks this year,” the band explains. They add, “Both songs are about someone expressing their feelings, emotions or imaginations…could be something spontaneous.”
10 years in, Chinese hardcore band GAIWAER have continued to push through regardless of their never-ending lineup issues. And the band has arrived today with yet ANOTHER full length...
