Have Such A Soft Spot For Asian Darkwave/Post Punk – Quarter Life Release New Track

We didn’t grow up listening (or really understanding) this form of music…Joy Division didn’t connect with us when we were growing up. But now as grown-ass adults with decades of stress, anxiety, excitement, marriages, children, friendships formed, friendships broken…basically a plethora of life experiences – music like Malaysian post-punk/darkwave band Quarter Life always resonates so well.

The track comes off the band’s upcoming 3-way split to be released in April. According to the band, “This is us getting back to our roots which is reverb-ish and gritty sounding post-punk. Through this, we’re hoping to remind you of 80’s bands like The Chameleon, Flock Of Seagull, and Billy Idol.”

So good…

Further below please check out some other recent Asian post-punk/darkwave bands we love – ESPECIALLY Blood Pact outta Singapore. Those bastards need to release new music…
