Our friends in Vietnamese beatdown band DISTRICT 105 have been doing their thing by building their own scene spreading the word about hardcore/beatdown in Vietnam. This brand new fullset live video continues to showcase their immense passion for what they do. But what makes it even more special is that the band was invited to perform inside a shopping mall and as one should expect when you bring immense breakdowns to a venue more frequented by normies, all hell breaks loose. This entire video will just make you smile from ear to ear not just because the band kills it, but it’s so rad to see spinkicks in a shopping mall with throngs of people looking over from the railings completely oblivious with what the hell is going on! hahahaha…
The band rips…putting the band in this awkward setting makes them rule even more.
Vocalist Huynh was kind enough to add, “This is actually a VANS event as they are out promoting their new line of shoes. As far as we know, VANS has been a huge supporter of hardcore and its subgenres in other SE Asian regions but not here in Vietnam. This is the first time ever that they invited a hardcore/beatdown band to a VANS event, and especially the first time this happened in a shopping mall.
For sure, that day there were tons of people watching out of curiosity with a WTF expression on their faces. But they stayed for the whole set and the feedback we got was surprisingly not terrible. Hopefully this will be a start of something better for the scene.”
