Thailand’s Whispers Announce Third Japan Tourdate / Talk About New Single

Thai metallic hardcore band Whispers have announced their third show for their upcoming inaugural trip to Japan. The third date also fits around the band’s appearance at Japan’s biggest hardcore fest Bloodaxe Festival. The three-date tour is as follows:

Sept 24 – Bloodaxe Festival
Sept 25 – Bloodaxe Festival Aftershow (Antiknock)
Sept 26 – Osaka, Hokage

Flyers for all three shows can be found below.

The band recently released their first new single ‘Slave to Darkness’. Whispers were kind enough to give some background to the track. “This song is about how in life shit can get hard to the point that you get a dead end. You just can’t find a way forward and you start looking for an exit. If you can’t find the exit and you’re stuck in this dead end, you will end up being a “slave to the darkness”. In terms of the direction of new music, “Hmmm maybe it’s not really a new direction because every song we write comes from what everyone is influenced by and through jamming and mixing all these ideas together. But one thing we can be certain about is it’ll still be metallic hardcore like we’ve been since day one. Looking out for a new EP or album out in 2023!”
