Goddamn…our dudes in Dutch hardcore band SNAKE EATER have just done a surprise drop of new tracks and the shit is abrasive as fuck. If you’re down with your metallic hardcore full of HM-2/feedback drenched mayhem, get on these tracks now.

Vocalist Yari added, “I’d say with the new release, we found a more abrasive side of our sound. We initially had some more punk-leaning influences that I think took more of a back seat on this one. Everything was recorded and mixed at IJLAND STUDIO in Amsterdam by our bassist, Ahmad.

Lyrically, the tracks go very different ways. ‘All Hail ….’ is about the western culture of currency clawing its way into indigenous cultures. We see throughout history that whenever Western “values” and economics show up, culture is one of the first things to be suppressed. The West forces assimilation, and after generations of it, our entire society has been infected to fit their mould. Anything is justifiable if you are able to pay.

‘Bisan de Ghar’ is about the martyrs of colonialism. In times of unforgivable crimes against humanity, it feels silly to be writing mosh parts, but it’s the best way we know to unleash some of our frustration and speak up at the same time.”
