It has been brought to our attention several times that a person on Facebook has continued to steal our content and paste it onto their own page passing off the content as if they were the authors. We have seen his page and have even seen bands thank THIS person for promoting their band when the content is 100% ours and, therefore, is stolen content. Content that we spent hours searching, drafting, editing, and creating that he then just takes and copies.
Here’s an example of how he steals our content. This is what he posted on his page:
This is what we ORIGINALLY posted on our website which he copied from:
So after we got sick of this person continuing to steal our work, we took it a step further and contacted Facebook who immediately acted on it and blocked the content from his page. Because Facebook BLOCKED his content, this person has tried to contact us to offer his “apology”. In his “apology” he states that he credited us – THERE IS NO CREDIT TO BE FOUND. In fact, this person has STOLEN content from other online music publications and pasted it onto his own page without any credit.
Our response to this so-called “apology” can be found here:
We want to thank Facebook for acting on our complaint so quickly and respecting our content that we created. We will not be contacting Facebook to unblock this person’s specific content related to us in the hopes that he will remember never to steal from us or anyone else ever again.
Thank you to all the bands, readers, promoters, people around the world who know how hard we work to try to keep this website running and keeping it relevant. We don’t do this for a living. We have fulltime jobs, have families, have kids to raise…we do this site on the side trying to carve out time every single day to update it.
If you find content that you’d like to use or share – NO PROBLEM! Keep sharing! Keep spreading the word! Keep supporting our Asian bands!
BUT JUST RESPECT US BY CREDITING US.
