Shh…Diam! Plays Southeast Asia Queer Cultural Festival 2021, 5th March 2021, 7pm

Malaysian band Shh…Diam! have announced that they will be performing at this year’s Southeast Asia Queer Cultural Festival 2021 with their performance premiering live on video this Friday, March 5th. So stoked for the band to be part of this!!!!

“Southeast Asia Queer Cultural Festival 2021: “Be/Longings” is a virtual festival organized by ASEAN SOGIE Caucus (ASC) and supported by Voice that reclaims, reimagines, and insists on LGBTIQ belonging in the region. It features 30+ works, performances, and events by 40+ queer activists and artists from all over Southeast Asia that can be experienced on various online platforms.

Shh…Diam! pre-recorded performance marks the debut of the song ‘Aku Hanya Insan Biasa yang Tak Kinki’, written especially for this event. The song is about a person who feels that they do not belong in the world of online dating because they have no kinks, hence the theme of belonging. Shh…Diam! is a Malaysian queercore, genre-bending and gender-bending band. They love you.”
