Buddhist Inspired Death/Black Metal Band Dharma Announce Long Awaited Debut EP [Taiwan]

This is how we should start every week…the long-awaited announcement of a profound Asian band’s debut EP.

Back in 2019 we first started writing about a brand new Taiwan-based Buddhist-inspired death/black metal band called Dharma. (You can click HERE for that article.) Since then the band has been a staple in the Taiwanese music scene playing up and down the island, with fellow metal bands, at almost every festival, and even with completely left-field acts like Luna Crescente:

The band has even gotten insane press from all over the world including the frickin’ LA Times! Click HERE to read that – very very good read!

But easily one of the most beautiful things to have happen for the band (maybe by design) is that over time and countless shows, the band’s performances have become an almost religious-like event with supporters allowing themselves to get completely lost in the sounds and vibes of their shows. Which makes complete sense because the band often has a literal Buddhist nun who joins them on stage leading everyone in attendance in chants and spiritual awakening before and during the entire show.

But today the band has suddenly informed the entire planet of the one piece of news that we’ve all been eagerly awaiting. Dharma will be releasing their debut 3 track EP entitled ‘BHAISAJYAGURU’ on all streaming services Monday, June 28th! HOLY FUCK!!! Can’t wait to hear their recorded material!

Until then, go listen to their live tracks below.
