Frequency Asia release 22 song Asian music compilation (featuring very diverse music)

Frequency Art

This was sent to us early this morning but doesn’t really include much information about what Frequency Asia is. I think it has something to do with a podcast or some entity that looks for Asian bands/music to promote via this podcast? No idea.

Anyway…they’ve prepared a compilation record that you can check out below with a great list of bands from all over Asia:

Frequency Asia has been going on for over a year now, and to celebrate and continue striving towards our goal of connecting the diverse music scenes of Asia we’re releasing “Frequency Asia Vol. 1”, a collection of some our favourite tracks played on the podcast over the first 30 episodes.

“Frequency Asia Vol. 1” features 22 tracks covering a range of genres and countries. Malaysian psych-pop (Orang), Russian instrumental hip-hop (Filatique), Pakistani electronica (Slowspin), Indian sludge (Shepherd), Vietnamese dub techno (Dee F.), Indonesian indie pop (Brightfull + Corolla), Chinese drone metal (Nahash), and a whole lot more. Listen to “Frequency Asia Vol. 1″ on Bandcamp for free or buy a copy of the cassette tape.”
