Emotive Punk Band Soda Section Release EP Chronicling Adolescence [Indonesia]

Soda Section is a new emotive punk band formed in Jakarta during the pandemic. Soda Section’s inspiration varies from Knuckle Puck, Neck Deep, The Story So Far, Belmont, and other more emotive-esque pop-punk bands. “The name soda is taken from our liking for fizzy drinks that are often drunk during rehearsals.”

The band has just released an awesome little EP entitled ‘Gro(W)ss’ containing 4 tracks and 1 monologue.

“This EP is Soda Section’s new challenge to use a the theme of their favorite Netflix series 13 Reasons Why to talk about someone facing difficulties in their youth, especially during high school. Friendship, oppression, Love, and Betrayal are the big themes of this EP.”
