Emo Act BEESWAX Drop New Record [Indonesia]

After a long career of performing and releasing single after single following their third album, BEESWAX returns with a full-length self-titled album that encapsulates their long journey. This emotive trio consisting of Bagas Yudhiswa (vocals/guitar), Putra Vibrananda (vocals/bass), and R. Yanuar Ade Laksono (drums) presents a release that is not merely nostalgic, but also a deep reflection on their musical and personal evolution, arriving on April 10, 2026.

As one of the pioneers in the midwest emo scene in Indonesia, particularly in East Java, Beeswax has gone through a long journey that now enters its 12th year. These 12 years represent a process that has not been short, filled with dynamics, challenges, and various transformations that have shaped their current reputation. Starting as a one-man band project in 2014, Beeswax later evolved into a quartet during their second and third albums before becoming the trio they are today, with a musical identity strongly influenced from the beginning by the 90s Midwest emo wave and the global emo revival of the 2010s. Through the album Beeswax, they not only present new work, but also celebrate and give thanks for this journey as an important marker of their musical and personal evolution, now arriving with a new maturity. This self-titled album becomes a meeting point between the past and the present. Beeswax revisits their two early releases, the EP First Step and LP Growing Up Late, which were written when they were still in their 20s. Now, the 16 songs in this album are rearranged to represent the development of their taste, experiences, and emotional depth that they have built over the years.

The release series for the album Beeswax began with “THE BRIDGE OF THE EMPTYNESS” (February 2026) and “TAKE ME HOME” (March 2026), culminating in “THE MOST PATHETIC ONE ON PLANET” on April 10, 2026, alongside the album release. This track features a collaboration with Dochi Sadega and explores the dilemma of witnessing others’ suffering from close proximity—serving as the album’s central thread that invites listeners to face the past with greater maturity.

The entire production process was handled independently by the members over the course of three months, with recording sessions conducted in Surabaya and Malang, supported by a creative team behind the scenes. Moving forward, Beeswax chooses a simple path: to keep creating and keep the journey alive. By reworking old material through a new perspective, they position the album Beeswax as a bridge between the past and the present—opening a space for nostalgia while offering new meaning for listeners across generations.
