5 Way Indonesian Shoegaze/Emo/Grunge Split Release Showcasing Java/Bali Scene

This is amazing…Indonesian label Haum Entertainment has put together a brand new all-Indonesian comp focusing on the Java/Bali community of bands who’ve been KILLING it in the hardcore-adjacent styles of music.

According to the label, “The development of alternative rock, emo, shoegaze, grunge, hardcore and pop punk, and fusion have all grown rapidly in the 2010s, let alone entering the 2020s. Now in 2022, considered “5th wave” emo, 90s vintage elements are starting to feel thick in Indonesian independent bands as well, especially in Java-Bali. We have released a 5-way split titled ‘The things That Shaped Us Together’ featuring the following bands: Write The Future (Malang), Car Crash Coma (Solo), Settle (Kuta, Bali), Displacement (Depok), Nervous Strain (Jakarta). Each band has recorded 2 unreleased songs for the comp.”
