Bang goes 2016 as The Underground unveils another cracker of a showcase! For the first time in UG history, the theme will be Christmas… But don’t worry about getting roped into a cheesy festive singalong: Chris B has some great acts hidden in her stockings. She made a list, checked it twice, and knew she wanted no others than quirky indie-poppers ReLaxpose to open the Christmas Show.
It’s been too long since Ignite the Hope graced the Underground stage, but they’ll be taking a break from door-to-door carolling to drop off a special delivery of explosive post-hardcore at The Hub. Giving an idea of what to expect from the local gig scene in 2017, the night will make way for fresh talent, too. One of the newest bands on the HK scene, naughty elf trio Müchell will then blast in to stir up mischief with jagged punk rock mayhem.
At the top of this glittering tree, headliners Other Theories will have us all rockin’ around to big guitar riffs and plenty of cheer. And finally, Santa will come early for one lucky punter, who will win a set of Polaroid headphones in our awesome musical giveaway! Don your ugliest jumper and come on down to celebrate another year of The Underground: Hong Kong’s home of live music.
