“This Track is About Addiction – All Forms of It” – TYPECAST Drop New Banger [Philippines]

Lend your heart to me if you’re listening ‘cause I’m lost
Please come rescue me from this misery I hold

The boys in TYPECAST are back with another banger – but this time with even heavier lyrical content. Vocalist, Steve, states, “This song is about addiction, not just substance abuse, but all forms of obsession and dependency. It’s the struggle, reaching out for help, and breaking out of it. The song also reflects on how even too much of a good thing can become toxic over time.”

With a heavy theme like that, it’s so great to hear yet another down-tuned track from the band. All their most recent tracks have been down-tuned and with it bringing fresh new energy sonically to the band who is known for their beautifully sung melodies, but over something down-tuned just adds so much more vulnerability and emotionality to the tracks. And when the screams come in…holy shit. Goosebumps.

The band is celebrating their 25th anniversary and there are new tracks in the works right frickin now. Can’t wait!
