Prog Metal Act ORACLE’S EYE Release New Single ‘A Savior’s Dream’ [India]

Prog-metal band ORACLE’S EYE outta India has released a new highly Opeth-inspired single entitled ‘A Savior’s Dream’. Here’s what the band had to say about it:

“We wanted to make a ballad, structural complexities shouldn’t always affect the melodic approach, at least that’s what we had in mind”, said Prince (the vocalist/guitarist of Oracle’s Eye) when asked about their take on the composition. According to the band, their intention was to make this song easy to listen to for those who are not into progressive music or just starting to explore the genre, but taking inspiration from bands like Dream Theater, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, King Crimson, The Aristocrats, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Rush, they made sure to include musical intricacies and theoretical twists here and there making it true to their genre, which is Neoclassical Symphonic Mathcore in their very own words.

Being a three-piece band with the fourth member working remotely on the compositions and an 18-piece orchestra team involved, it’s only natural to expect a lot of layers in the song making it sound big and impactful, with the inclusion of neoclassical melodies contributing to the all-over melancholic vibe. A narrative tell-tale progression of the lyrics and storyline attempts to put the listener in the shoes of the main character of the tale while also leaving an open ending for them to interpret the song in their own ways, making it more relatable.”
