Dem bastards in Filipino hardcore band BADWAVE have done it again…the self-confessed Pinoy Style Hardcore Skate Rats have dropped a music video for the track ‘Breakin Chain’ and it’s all kinds of amazing. Not just the music, but the thought they put into making sure the people who’ve shown up to rip it up in the video represent their typical audience, is so fucking great. You’ve got the regular run of the mill hardcore kids, but also metalheads, punks, skinheads, skaters, goths, females, males, everyone’s here ready to throw down. And of course, since we’ve had the pleasure of seeing the band live – everyone in this video has smiles from ear to ear because that’s what this band brings to their brand of hardcore – pure fucking joy.
Here’s what the band has said about the track and video:
“Just in time before the year ends, Badwave has yet again, released another music video.
Directed by Mike Gem Tolentino (MKGM), the visuals revolved around the band walking around the streets of Metro Manila while moshing and having fun with their crew. Armed with lyrics tackling self-respect and positive reinforcement for overcoming trauma, this music video also provided a glimpse of the modern Manila aesthetic.
Watch out for their up and coming split album with fellow Filipino bands STABLE, REPETITION, Badwave (triple threat 3way split) scheduled to be released this early 2025 by STILL ILL RECORDS.

Badwave has more good stuff in store for ya’ll next year so keep a lookout!!!
100% PINOY STYLE HC SKATE RATS FOREVER!”
