It’s been a rough week here in Hong Kong – a rough week after 2 rough years and things just never seem to get better. We’re all wondering how much worse it can get before it starts to finally start turning around. It’s also been raining a lot and overall very gloomy which matches the current state of affairs.
A good friend, Yudi, just released a brand new EP for his more emo-esque band called Settle out of beautiful Bali. The EP couldn’t have landed at a more appropriate time – as the sounds coming out of our speakers right now feels like a giant hug. This is in fact the band’s second EP after the release of their debut EP ‘Unpleasant Feelings’. We LOVED that first EP, but there is something very different about the level-up of all the music and emotions on this brand new collection of music. As the band states, “This EP showcases a bigger picture in our journey through love and heartbreak”.
Debut EP ‘Unpleasant Feelings’
As we continue to listen to the 5 beautifully crafted music, it’s clear the band has harnessed even more of the vibes of mid-’90s to early 00’s emo bands. Bands like Citizen, Balance and Composure and Movements come immediately to mind.
This is a wonderful band.
An amazing release.
You really should be all over it.
It’s being released on cassette by Native Vision Records – hit them up HERE to find out how to grab a copy.
