Typecast Vocalist Produces Debut Track for Singer/Songwriter Rich Caramat [Philippines]

We try to keep music on the website related to punk, hardcore, metal, indie rock. Thus when people send us anything with the word “pop” attached to it, we tend to skim over it and then promptly hit delete. While looking over the press release for the debut release for singer/songwriter Rich Caramat, what caught our eye was that our good friend Steve of Typecast fame sat behind the producer’s chair to make this track happen. Homie’s created some of the best heartfelt music from this side of the world, so what he backs, we back.

Check out the track below. Has that kinda Brian Fallon/Bruce Springstein-esque storytelling vibe to it.

“A singer-songwriter who proudly wears his loud beating heart on his sleeve. Armed with his trusty guitar, this thirty-something Bruce Springsteen and The Replacements die hard from Manila writes raw and earnest songs about love, loss, nostalgia, and redemption – inspired by rock legends, punk rebels, and folk heroes from his youth.

Rich Caramat is currently in the middle of recording with Typecast’s Steve Badiola serving as producer. A four-track EP is scheduled for release by late 2019.”
