Philippines based punk band Catpuke have finally released their debut EP ‘KTM’. The band is highly involved in activism in their communities and thus (even though just the music already rules) we back this band HARD.
Go support them.
“We want to share our thanks to everyone who purchased our first EP, KTM.
2020 has been a tough year for a lot of us–the pandemic and typhoons exacerbated by criminal neglect of the state; impunity and lack of accountability from corrupt government officials; and the continuing rise of extra-judicial killings, violence against human rights defenders and activists, and more cases of injustices under a fascist administration–we recall these moments not to romanticize the forced resilience of the Filipino people but to reinforce the justified rage of the masses and the need to stand united against our common oppressor.
With this, we understand the significance of progressive forms of art and music. We must continue to pour fuel to the fire that burns inside us and let this light lead us to our victory–K.T.M.”
SUPPORT.
