Metalcore Band INVERSION Release Debut Single/Music Video [Malaysia]

INVERSION is a brand new metalcore band hailing from Malaysia that features ex and current members of bands such as Cassandra, Dead Eyes Glow, Kiss the Fallen, and Voidavoid. “Our major musical influences are bands like Thornhill, Crystal lake, and Silent Planet,” state the band members. On forming the band, “Apart from the reason that we just want to continue making heavy music in hopes that people will listen and relate to our music, this band was also formed in an attempt to revive the Malaysian Metal scene post COVID-19.We’ve all been in the Malaysian metal scene for quite sometime and we want to bring something new to the table.”

The new single, ‘Afterlight’, is about providing hope and solace to those people who may feel they’re alone in their pain. “We have friends who struggle with depression and through this song, we wanted to reflect that feeling of being trapped in your own thoughts. However, towards the end of the song, we wanted to capture the sense of peace and empowerment one experiences when they overcome the demons that haunt them.”
