Joey, Guitarist of Skychurch/Intolerant, [Philippines] Launches New Horror-Inspired Podcast

Our good friend, Joey Dizon, former guitarist of massive Filipino metal bands Skychurch and Intolerant, has just launched a cool new podcast called Kill the Lights. The first episode is up now and luckily for us non-Filipinos, it’s pretty much in English! Woohoo!

Joey stated “It’s a podcast hosted by Karl De Mesa, who is a horror writer with various published books under his belt, and me – a music writer and musician. KTL is basically a show wherein we talk about all things horrific, extreme, taboo, fringe, dangerous and savagely beautiful in music, movies, literature and other arts in the Philippines and over the world.”

When we asked if the focus was always going to be horror/extreme movies, he was quick to add “We plan on exploring many many more topics like local mythologies in neighboring Southeast Asian countries, supernatural stories (true or fictional), “underground culture” like music (black metal episode coming soon!) and anything and everything people may not be exposed to regularly or comfortable talking about.”

The first episode is DOPE and the hosts throw out a whole bunch of great knowledge (Frankenstein wasn’t actually the name of the monster?!?!?! The fuck?! Mind blown!)…get on it below and make sure to subscribe to the channel.
