DEMO ALERT: Good Friends, DIENASTY, Return As GUILTSTRIKE, Drop Demo [Philippines]

When da homies that we’ve known for years return as a new band (for reasons mentioned below) – we back that shit hard. That’s how we roll in the world of hardcore. Back your friends. Simple.

Here’s the lo-down:

“After more than a decade of carrying the name DIENASTY, we’ve officially changed our band name to GUILTSTRIKE.

Here’s the deal: we got a random email from someone claiming the name Dienasty is now owned by a label and copyrighted. Whether that’s true or not, we didn’t want to get caught up in any legal headaches or drama — that’s not what this band is about. So we made the call to move forward with a new name.

It wasn’t easy. Dienasty has been part of our identity for the last 10 years. Letting go of it felt like hitting reset — like being the new kid again, having to reintroduce ourselves to the scene we’ve been a part of for so long. But after a lot of back and forth, we landed on Guiltstrike — a name that felt right. I (Pam Renabor) suggested it, and the rest of the band was instantly on board.

To mark this new chapter, we’re dropping a 3-track demo — an intro and two songs we’ve been sitting on for a while. Consider it a reintroduction. Later this year, we’ve got two more singles lined up, and if time, money, and energy all fall into place, we’re aiming for a full album next year.

Thanks to everyone who’s supported us through this transition.”
