How Insane is The Vietnamese Scene Right Now? Check Out Jaigon Orchestra’s New Track

As soon as we pressed play our own kid came running out going “Woah! This sounds so good!” She’s 11. 11 years old don’t hold back – if something sucks, they’ll let you know.

We’ve been reporting on the Vietnamese scene for YEARS now and with every passing day the bands and music exploding out of that country just keep getting better and better. It’s actually REALLY weird why we don’t see more international press writing about these bands. Are you all nuts? Or do you only report on the same scenes/communities/types of music that you always write about? We don’t care about any of that shit and will report about whatever whenever. As long as it’s something that moves us – we’re writing about it. (And if it doesn’t – better luck next time!)

Jaigon Orchestra are a ska-punk-based band from Vietnam who have always been pushing the envelope in terms of their songwriting. This new single is probably the most ambitious yet. Though the music is fucking SPECTACULAR, it’s the epicness of the music video that has made us rewatch it like 100 times just this morning. We’re probably half of the 3000+ views the video’s gotten in just the last few hours hahahahaha…the song is about overcoming sadness with the vocalist of hardcore/metal band District 105 being the main “sad” actor in the video. The band states, “We will always march with everyone in this sad life”.

Yo…you gotta go peep this band if you’re looking for something different especially if you love bands that come from the world of punk rock but are out there doing their own thing now.
