Risen from the dissolution of the groove metal band MOTHFLESH, its former members have established a renewed presence as AVERIS. Their debut single, “Aftermath,” offers a compelling glimpse into the band’s artistic vision.
Focusing on high-octane grooves, AVERIS draws inspiration from heavyweights like Monuments, TesseracT, Architects, Lamb of God, and many more. With “Aftermath,” the band aimed to push the boundaries of their sound, creating a dynamic listening experience with more musical breathing room between sections. They experimented with new tonal palettes, embracing a modern sound while highlighting each instrument’s unique voice.
Lyrically, “Aftermath” narrates a tale of resilience, emphasizing the human spirit’s incredible ability to rise above adversity and trauma. Mixed and mastered by Justin Ang, the track showcases a clean yet heavy modern metal sound that promises to set the tone for AVERIS’s future releases.
