Woah…two back-to-back posts of awesome Philippines-based bands raising the frickin’ bar.
This is next-level shit right here:
Philippine Doom/Post Metal supergroup Basalt Shrine have announced their debut album ‘From Fiery Tongues’ with the first single entitled ‘In the Dirt’s Embrace’. A full 10-minute epic single that gives you the full picture of the magic this band is putting out in the world. The doom into post-metal elements is especially amazing. The band consists of the Vivo Brothers of the psych-rock group The Insektlife Cycle, dissonant death metal trio Dagtum and the hardcore punk duo Abanglupa. The brothers are joined by doom metal veterans Rallye Ibanez and Bobby Legaspi of the Quezon City miserable doom act Surrogate Prey.
The album is being released by Surrogate Records [Ukraine], Cruel Nature Records [UK], and PAWN [Philippines] on CD and cassette formats.
Pre-orders are up now HERE.
