Blackgaze Band Shadowgazer Release Debut EP ‘Blackgaze Cinema’ [Japan]

Japanese blackgaze band Shadowgazer have released their debut EP. Here’s the write up from the label Pest Productions handling the physical release:

“The discovery of Shadowgazer for us is indeed a heartfelt surprise. This young but no less ambitious fresh blood caught us immediately with their promo single earlier this year with their brilliant execution of everything that Japanese Blackgaze/Post Black Metal is known for: as if a meshwork of kaleidoscopic vignettes full of subtle yet multi-faceted emotions freely shines through the sparkling dew of summer morning. Shadowgazer’s music thus traveling across margins of genres that within and outside the realm of shoegaze/blackgaze, even though there’s nothing “innovative” about their approach, Shadowgazer’s debut ep still serves as an exceptional offering that follows the path of predecessors like Heaven In Her Arms and 明日の叙景 (Asunojokei).
