Formed in 2017, Philippines ANOMALYA are self-described as “poetic d-beat crust punk”. Once you press play on their debut album, you’ll see EXACTLY what they mean. Playing a “raw” form of punk rock/hardcore has become a sort of aesthetic these past few years, but ANOMALYA are showing you what “raw” actually sounds like with this release being recorded live in a studio.
In terms of lyrics, the band put forth this description:
“Revealing the destructive crisis reality of war for interest. We stand and continue to fight for the injustice of violence such as the war on drugs. using our talent in making noise and participation in various activities against violence and greed in our society. and be able to distribute information to people who continue to abuse and blindfold their eyes to not see and hear the abuses of their rights.”
