Sri Lankan Metal Band Stigmata Release Cool Statement Summarizing Their 20 Plus Year Existence

Formed in 1999, Sri Lankan metal band Stigmata are still active as fuck today. The band has just released this cool statement on their social media that caught our attention:

“2020 has been a year that’s literally swept the rugs and feet from underneath us. In a world shaken by a global pandemic, everything has changed. Life and art, work, dreams, and goals all flipped inside out.

However, the need for music, literature, theatre, film, and art is stronger than ever. To bring us together. To give us a hopeful purpose. To unite us in the face of adversities known and tragedies yet to be experienced.

In XX years we Sᴛɪɢᴍᴀᴛᴀ have endured a Civil War, a Tsunami, Political Unrest, Terrorism, Easter Sunday Bombblasts in Sri Lanka, and now Covid-19.

We are still here. Working relentlessly to release kickass music from our 5𝒕𝒉 𝑨𝒍𝒃𝒖𝒎 being recorded.”
