Skate Punk Band DRINKING BOYS AND GIRLS CHOIR Return With New Single [Korea]

Daegu Skate punk trio DRINKING BOYS AND GIRLS CHOIR have released a new single ‘History’ on Damnably.

This is the first track featuring new guitarist Megan Nisbet – the bands fourth guitarist and first female guitarist and Scottish member. The track celebrates and welcomes Megan and waves adeiu to a difficult patch as they searched for suitable guitarist in a country mostly devoid of indie/punk musicians and where an intense 10 to 12 hour days/six day week work culture makes rehearsing/touring difficult.

“This song is a beginning and an end for our band, which is something we’re no strangers to. Through all the tumultuous times, we’ve held on and waited hopefully for the perfect fit, and now it feels like we finally found it in each other. As much as we were happy to be in this band together, there were moments of pain, too. While we were in the midst of another setback, Megan found us and brought us new hope. History is a song filled with a promise we make to comfort each other, and start a new story. Being respectful of our past, we’re moving confidently into the future with no regrets, waving goodbye. We don’t know what the future holds for us, but we’re going to find out – together.”

The band is also about to embark on a 29 date North American tour with labelmates OTOBOKE BEAVER (dates further below).
