Singapore Punk Metal Band Opposition Party Release 7th Episode of Podcast – Discuss Racism

Singapore OG’s – punk/metal band Opposition Party have a podcast entitled Everyday Born a Dog up on youtube and have just released the 7th episode entitled Racist Expats vs Retarded SPGs. Needless to say, the title caught our attention. The next 28 minutes of the episode is a wonderfully enlightening conversation about experiences with racism within Singapore which the members of the band explain, both through humor and seriousness, about classism, racism, the hypocrisy of levels of discrimination depending on your ethnicity, and so much more. Most of us who live in places around Asia with a strong “expat” population may have many many similar experiences to share.
