Singaporean punk band The Pretoria Escape have returned with a brand new single ‘Take a Bow’. Not only that, but the band has enlisted excellent drummer Ronnie (ex-Plainsunset) into the mix. The band states, “‘Take A Bow’ is about walking away from arguments and forcing yourself to be the bigger person and accepting the fact that at the end of the day not everyone shares the same opinion”. Seems poignant in the divisive world we live in today where everyone has an opinion and apparently everything is either black or white. The Pretoria Escape formed in 2019 being inspired by bands like The Gaslight Anthem, Bayside, Alkaline Trio, The Get Up Kids and released their debut EP ‘Closure’ the following year.
On the new track, “We tried experimenting with heavier guitar sounds and melodic singing along the lines of bands that influenced us as well Finch and Matchbook Romance”. They’re also hard at work on their next 5 song EP to be released later this year.
