Yo…we back the anger and ferocity in this track by our friends in Philippines punk band Catpuke. The track is entitled Eat The Rich and this is their powerful write up for the track:

“The country is abundant in resources, more than enough to supply every single Filipino, but the rich overconsume and hoard wealth and resources– leading to inequality, suffering, and continued oppression of the poor.

The true power lies within the masses, not them.”

sitting on their golden thrones
they fill their mouths with spit and shit
taking everything with full abandon
but there’s nothing that could ever fill them up

while filthy hands scour the streets
picking up scraps to eat
skin clinging off skeleton frames
but much too starved to feel the hate

there’s a hunger i cant place
it’s burning
when there’s nothing’s left we’re gonna eat the rich

they’re too complacent behind their iron gates
but they wont stand a chance when we bring out guillotines

no one wanted it to come to this
but there seems to be no other way
because to fix society
is to overthrow injustices fixed in place

starving on concrete floors
