Oi Punk Band LOS JANTOS Drop Debut Album [Indonesia]

Oi punk band LOS JANTOS have released their debut album ‘Spirit of the Youth’.

A band from Yogyakarta, Indonesia that originated from a hangout under the Flyover Janti, a group of young people who initially gathered over their shared football club colors, casually decided to form a makeshift punk band named Los Jantos. Lyrically, Los Jantos blends and rearranges Indonesian and English to reflect their 3-year journey. The title of the album, “Spirit of The Youth,” is taken from one of the tracks. It serves as a chronicle of the band’s journey, capturing the ups and downs, struggles, and joys they experienced over three years.

The title track, “Spirit of The Youth,” explores issues Los Jantos has faced or is currently facing. The lyrics are written in English, accompanied by distorted guitar sounds and strong kick beats, creating an anthem for the youth to ignite their spirit in life. This single will be released with a music video on YouTube, involving friends of Los Jantos in its production. In this 3.07-minute track, the message conveys the importance of maintaining youthful spirit despite facing obstacles and negativity from others, encouraging the spread of peace and enthusiasm amid the prevailing hate.
