Melodic Death Metal Act Empirical Drop ‘False God’ On Easter [Philippines]

Side note – that’s punk AF.

Empirical is a melodic death metal band from the Philippines, formed in October 2016. The band’s name was derived from “empiricism”; the practice of basing ideas and theories on testing and experience. The lyrical themes are somewhat based on empiricism, with a touch of existentialism, nihilism, cynicism, overcoming struggles, breaking stereotypes, abhorrence towards archaic beliefs, challenging status quo, survival, paradox, nature, etc. The band is heavily influenced by European melodic death metal, and folk metal bands like In Flames, Ensiferum, Wintersun, Insomnium, etc.
5 years from the release of their E.P. “Of Anger & Tranquility”, Empirical has just released their latest single ‘False God’ timed perfectly to coincide with Easter.
“False God is about the blinding concepts of organized religion and the hypocrisy involved from a lot of different angles. Violence, betrayal, discrimination, and disrespect are some of the few behaviors exhibited by the followers of each religion to prove whose “god” is more powerful, dominant, sacred, etc, thus instigating the idiotic concept of holy war.” is an underground Asian music news website created for the sole purpose of supporting our own world.
