Malaysian metal band Against Infinity release new music video.
After releasing their Butterfingers cover last November 2016, the boys are back with a brand new single but this time around, featuring Rudye from the band Killing Me Inside (IND), with a song entitled “Kau Jiwaku” which basically means “You Are My Soul”. The song starts with a mellow feel and bursts into a heavy-post-rock kinda vibe, giving listeners that tear-jerking effect. You might wonder why Anep is not on this track. It is because this is a bonus track which is exclusively released for Youtube. You gotta buy their CD if you want to hear Anep’s rendition of this track. The band is still uncertain about their album release date though, as they are still in the midst of completing the whole album.
Najmi gave us an insight about the music:
“My mom often talks about how she looks forward to meeting her Maker now that she had “completed” her job in raising 5 of her children, teaching us the ropes of life, responsibilities to your Maker, parents, family and friends. Every time she talks about this, I can’t help but feel awfully sad, knowing that one day that time will definitely come. However, I can’t stop her from feeling that way because in my opinion, us going back to meet our Maker is indeed the ultimate goal in life. Our lives in this world is only temporary and how we live it is a test to determine our fate in the Hereafter. So I know, I should be happy for mom to feel that way.
This song was inspired by mom’s desire to meet her Maker. It describes the feeling of missing a loved one, who has left this world. It also describes the regret, the unsaid words and the strong desire to feel his/her presence just one more time.”
I don’t know why, your every hello feels like every goodbye A fleeting glimpse of beauty like ephemeral rainbows in the sky Or like how I miss my pillow...
