We’re stoked to help introduce a brand new synthwave/electronic band Katfëud outta Malaysia featuring members of a skate punk band The Hiroshima Lovers.
Katfëud is a band formed by two members: Qee and Riz (not the dude that runs Unite Asia by the way) out of Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Riz is known to us as a member of Malaysian skate punk band The Hiroshima Lovers who got together with his good friend Qee to make this project come to life. The band takes influence from electronic acts & sci-fi movies such as Crystal Castles, Kraftwerk & John Carpenter. Katfëud started out as an experimental home synth project with the idea of being productive while living in the age of COVID-19.
Today, the band has just released their debut single via a music video for the track ‘Hollow’ streaming below. The duo have already announced that this track will be part of their upcoming 6 song debut EP to be released mid-2021.
