Goddamn…that’s how you announce a signing. A few days ago Thai hardcore label Holding On Records announced the signing of fellow Thai hardcore band Carry On and then today drop a MASSIVELY heavy new single by the band with a sick music video.
The vocalist of the band was kind enough to give us some more info of how all this took place:
“At the end of 2022, we spoke with Gap (Holding on Records) because he was wondering what we were up to. We told him we were hoping to drop a brand new EP in 2023 and so he gave us a chance by signing us to Holding on Records. We’re super stoked! We were already in the process of moving from a more melodic hardcore direction to a heavier metallic hardcore sound anyway. This song is based on our observations of taking part in shows like Judgement Night playing with bands like Born From Pain, Whispers, A-Zero, Depressed, The Shredder, and Hellmosphere. At that show, we noticed how rabid fo fans people who listen to hardcore are. So we decided to come up with the idea of writing a song that brings all these people together. This in fact is the inspiration for our upcoming EP ‘The City of Life and Death’ which will be out this June on Holding On Records. The full EP will be about encouraging people to try and live a happier life.
This new song is our turning point and we want people who don’t know us to get to know us!”
Check out the homie, Rogel, of VALLEY OF CHROME fame, in his new project which blends Lamb of God with the hardcore metal vibes of 90s. The project is...
