In a tumultuous world where chaos reigns, one band stands as a beacon of defiance and musical intensity. TABAHI, the sole thrash metal band hailing from Karachi, the most dangerous and violent city in Pakistan, returns with their highly anticipated second album, “Thrash for Justice.”
Tabahi’s name, an Urdu term meaning “Destruction,” serves as a testament to their unrelenting passion for the aggressive and powerful sound inspired by legendary Teutonic Thrash Metal Bands like Destruction, Sodom, Kreator, and classic Bay Area Thrash Metal Bands including Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, and Exodus. Founded by Faiq Ahmed in 2005, who takes on the role of Lead Guitarist, the band is fueled by the vocal prowess and bass talents of Daniyal Buksh Soomro, with Mr. X contributing as Session Drummer.
Since their inception, Tabahi has been committed to channeling their experiences into their music, exploring themes of social unrest, political turmoil, and personal struggles. With their aggressive and fast-paced compositions, they offer an unfiltered and honest portrayal of the challenges they face in their volatile surroundings.
Lyrically, Tabahi’s songs address the harsh realities of their environment, striving to create awareness and inspire change in the world. Despite the adversities they’ve encountered, Tabahi aspires to leave a lasting global footprint with their music. Their mission is clear: to connect with audiences worldwide and serve as an inspiration for others to overcome their own struggles through the undeniable power of metal.
The band first made waves in the metal industry worldwide with their debut EP titled “Fatwa” in 2012, followed by their full-length self-titled album, “Tabahi” released in 2014. Now, they’re back and more ferocious than ever with ‘Thrash for Justice’ their second full-length album, promising a sonic assault that will resonate with both new wave thrash metal enthusiasts, such as Havok, Warbringer, and Power Trip, as well as classic icons like Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, and Testament.
“Thrash for Justice” is set to unleash a sonic storm that will not only captivate the hearts of metal aficionados but also ignite a fire for change in a world that craves justice and truth.
