FINALLY. Melodic Hardcore Act DEFEAT THE GIANT Return With New Music [Taiwan]

Taiwanese hardcore band DEFEAT THE GIANT have finally returned with new music – the first in over 4 frickin’ years! The new promo is entitled ‘New Heights’ and released on their own label, DIRTI.

Though it may feel like the band has been MIA this entire time, the band has actually been busy putting on shows for touring bands such as Whispers, Kruelty, Fuming Mouth, The Geeks, Numbernine, Otus, Tive, and soon Speed. But the band feels it’s now time to get the jams back out.

This promo “New Heights” includes a brand-new track, “New Heights”, as well as a cover of “Searchin’ For The Light” by the legendary 80s New York hardcore band Supertouch. The band’s music not only deeply influences DTG, but the band’s lyrics also strongly resonate with what DTG’s members are experiencing right now.

This release reassures the world that there will be even more music dropping soon, marking their return to the Asian hardcore scene.
