Hong Kong Acts ELLYWVN and Lip Servants Drop Their “Bloody” Valentine

Hong Kong-based acts Lip Servants and ELLYWVN have teamed up to release a Valentine’s Day split single for free download through the city’s premier freakshow The PigRat Collective.

Under the name ELLYWVN, the frontperson of noise punk duo KYVLE has covered The Soft Moon’s ‘Far’.

For their contribution to the release, Gazecore fuzzmongers Lip Servants had the gall to tackle the sacrosanct Shoegaze text ‘Only Shallow’ originally by My Bloody Valentine, though the Servants’ version is closer in sound to the Irish group’s live rendition of the tune.
