Our good friend Sot Van Quang plays in Vietnamese crossover thrash (we’ve been calling them Pikachucore on the site for years and have noticed a lot of media around Asia have adopted that name as well! hahaha) band Cut Lon. The band has been killing it since they began releasing music quickly, putting stuff out on cassette format, and even hitting the road outside of Vietnam most recently playing in Thailand and the Philippines.
He most recently shared his favorite Vietnamese releases of 2020 and it was great to see a local perspective and thus asked him if we could share it and add a few thoughts about each release.
