After the piece released this morning, Marjinnah shared their own experience with the owner of this youtube channel that is being outed as a racist piece of shit.
The first screenshot is of the owner discussing getting an “exclusive” stream of Marijannah’s brand new album Istanah. You can see clearly how politely and rationally Marijannah responded upon which the owner becomes unreasonably aggressive, even to the point of threatening to take down previous posts about the band.

“You have no principles” WOW.
This guy didn’t stop just at harassing the band – but he also took it up with Cursed Tongue Records when the label was streaming the record on their page:

There is so much to unpack in just these two screenshots, but why even bother wasting another second on this person and his youtube channel. And as you can see in the second screenshot, people in the comments section were more than willing to set this person straight.
This post is a piggyback post on one previously released on our site for a South American band who shared their experience: https://uniteasia.org/marijannahs-label-cursed-tongue-records-release-statement-stoned-meadow-doom/
This is just a lesson to everyone anywhere on this planet…if you’re going to help a band, just shut up and do that. Don’t make it about yourself because we can see through your paper-thin guise. Once your channel or your website becomes something you depend on financially, that’s when you start to become unreasonable with bands and labels and PR people not to mention you think you’re more important than you really are. It no longer is about “helping” a band but helping yourself. At the end of the day, we can guarantee you, that until today – most of our readers have never even heard of you.
