Our buddies in Indonesian label Samstrong Records sure know how to uncover some intense bands with intense material for an intense time that we live in. A few weeks ago we unleashed the first taste of blackened hardcore band Tiderays new full length via their insane music video streaming below. Today, we get the FULL FUCKING album premiere. Get fucking ready to be pummelled.
Formed in early 2017 by Ghozzy El-Yussa (Vocal), Fauby Duvadilan (Bass), DF Ahmad (Guitar) and Gresia (Drum) in Semarang, Indonesia, Tiderays brought a brand new formula of heavy music drenched in fury rarely seen in the Semarang scene. The band also took their music out on the road having completed an 11 city Java and Bali tour with Hearted. That experience helped shape the band and what would become the foundation for this full length.
“401 is an acronym for “for no one”; zero and no man’s land. We actually don’t want to put any parameters on the interpretations of the songs that we present, we want it to be complete anarchy in the way the songs are digested. From Nietzche’s nihilism to a simple realm of break-ups, we want your mind to run wild. This is the message of the record,” said DF Ahmad.
The entire album is a group of explosive tracks consisting of hardcore, punk, crust, doom, sludge, and death metal all blended together to create one depressing, hopeless, frantic yet furious entanglement of harsh sounds for the harsh world we live in. This is not a hopeful undertaking, while listening, prepare to have your heart ripped right out of you.
