Hardcore in India continues to be a small but growing community. Currently heading the charge are the boys in post-hardcore band PACIFIST. And to prove their commitment to this global movement, the band has just announced a sick tri-city tour featuring 3 hardcore bands – themselves, STRANGLE from Nepal and CATATONIC. The tour is entitled ‘The Bill to Destroy India’ Tour.
The band states, “The only way to make a mark is to take the shots we can. We’re bringing the journey we set out on six months ago (with the tour of Nepal & Sikkim) now to the mainland cities.”
Kathmandu Valley Hardcore icons Strangle come down for their first tour of India, alongside Pacifist reconnecting from where they left off in December. Shillong metallic hxc supergroup Catatonic join in to stack the lineup in Bangalore & Mumbai, and new hxc upstarts F.T.A. & TRYST are gonna bring in the heavy, supporting at the Delhi & Mumbai dates respectively.
Breaking borders and boundaries beyond the exchange of ideas and inspiration through social networks, into actual community and action.

Pacifist are South Asia’s contribution to the rising wave of indie, punk & hardcore globally. Cathartic, emotive, chaotic while fully dedicated to the craft – Pacifist take inspiration from over three decades of music in the genre. The quintet mine deeper than mere existential angst & personal truths – with a sincerity that reveals all shades of expression through their meticulously crafted releases. Their upcoming EP continues to straddle between what’s familiar & what’s new – and promise to shape the sound of hardcore to come in 2025.

Strangle is a hardcore band hailing from Lalitpur, Nepal, known for their aggressive sound, raw energy, and uncompromising attitude. Formed in 2012, Strangle quickly made a name for themselves in the South Asian hardcore scene with their intense live performances and hard-hitting music that blends classic hardcore influences with their own unique perspective.
With two full lengths under their belt, the lineup consists of Ashish Kayastha on guitars, Dipesh Joshi on drums, Bibek Tamang on bass, and Santosh Shrestha on vocals.

Catatonic is a heavy, uncompromising force emerging from the hills of Shillong, India. Formed with a shared passion for metal, hardcore, and alternative sounds, Catatonic blends crushing riffs, intense vocals, and atmospheric elements to create a sound that is both punishing and deeply emotive. Starting out as a death-grind band, the band has now started incorporating more melodic hardcore / post-hardcore sound, inspired by bands like At the Drive-In, Title Fight, Converge, etc.
