Just from hearing the first two tracks off Japanese hardcore band NUMBERNINE‘s brand new EP ‘New Phenomenon’ makes us wonder which one of you fools out there will actually get the magic of this band? The way the band is able to fly in and out of a huge HOST of genres yet still keeping it hardcore, is fucking PHENOMENAL (no pun intended). We don’t know many bands that can be this groove heavy, this melodic, this masterful with tempo changes, this experimental with the music AND vocals – can keep this so sick from track to track. The killer production makes it even better…it was mixed/mastered at the hands of members of PALM.
