Vietnamese Beatdown/Hardcore Metal Act DISTRICT 105 Announce Euro Tourdates!

“We wanna be the first to prove that it’s not impossible for a Vietnamese band to do this.”

This is what we love to see…opportunities for Asian bands to get out to the West from countries lesser known scenes like Vietnam are so hard to come by, that when a band finally gets a chance – they try to pack out those dates.

Vietnamese beatdown/hardcore metal band DISTRICT 105 have been doing their thing for a minute. Consistently producing heavy ass music, videos and being involved in the community as much as possible, so this should be a point of celebration now.

They stated, “We are actually supposed to play FAJTFEST in Czech Republic. They invited us in 2019 but we were new and didn’t have funding. We reached out to them again last year and got a yes. Everything regarding terms and conditions were confirmed through email but they ghosted us afterwards. We were really sad.

At around the same time we met with Witney, a Belgium born Vietnamese, he followed us on socials for a while and we finally met during his trip to Vietnam. When he heard that we might play in Europe, he said he will try sending our profile to IEPERFEST, and hopefully we can have a tour after Fajtfest. And fortunately Ieperfest said yes, it was quite amazing when we got that email. Things developed from there, we started struggling with visas and looking for sponsorship, we only got roughly 5 months to prepare. Lucky enough, we got full support from local heroes/ supporters like ROCKFEST VIETNAM, ROOSTER BEERS and GRADION. Got the visas 2 weeks before the trip. We lost count of how many times we thought about giving up, but seeing our band name on that poster keep us trying a bit more. Despite the big support there are still a lot of financial obstacles to b dealt with, but yeah we’re trying

We’re gonna be the first Vietnamese band of this genre to make it to Europe. It’s an honor, but also a lot of pressure. We don’t know what to expect. Just gonna do our best and as long as people remember us afterwards that’s all that matter. We wanna be the first to prove that it’s not impossible for a Vietnamese band to do this. And hope that the international will start looking our way.”

LET’S GO.
