UniteAsia.org announce first ever Unite Asia Showcase to be held in Hong Kong on July 1.

As our first ever “showcase” of any kind we wanted this to be a special event. The show consists of 6 local Hong Kong bands who will all be releasing music that night! The bands are of a variety of genres spanning from oi-punk to metallic hardcore t0 ska-punk. Not only that, but we will also be releasing our first ever Unite Asia Showcase Compilation CD that will feature two tracks from each of these bands. The CD compilation will be handed out for free that night!

Hong Kong’s latest addition to the hardcore punk scene! Check out 3 piece band The Tracy Lords on their debut 6 song demo that will be self-released on cassette format. The band has also been selected to open for Japanese noise-grind band Sete Star Sept on June 16.

Yau Dong is a Hong Kong hardcore band who are celebrating the release of their debut EP that night! Though they haven’t been able to find a guitarist they have been able to solider on with the help of good friends like Hin (guitarist of Seesaw) filling in. The EP was recorded and mixed/mastered right here in Hong Kong!

Dagger is a new Hong Kong metallic hardcore band featuring members of King Ly Chee and Yau Dong/Fight Club. The band will be releasing their debut 6 song self-titled EP on cassette format that night! The EP is being released by Singapore label Dangerous Goods! The EP was mixed by Taylor Young of Nails/Twitching Tongues at The Pit Studio.
