“Turmoil is an E.P. that was born out of  necessity. For years I’ve had trouble speaking out about racism and the effects it has had on me. Finally, after 27 years, the time has come for me to address these demons. This cocktail of continuous self doubt, anxiousness and self loathing that I have within me is a direct consequence of all this bigotry I’ve had to deal with my whole life, and these tracks are my way of coping with it.”
