Means a lot when labels and bands choose to use Unite Asia to announce a new project or entity. Japanese youtube channel Doom Fujiyama is a group of amazing individuals who used to send us a whole bunch of updates about their doom, sludge, stoner scene in the part of Japan they hail from. Today, the group has decided to fully relaunch itself as an independent record label and distribution company.
Read all about it below:
“We are pleased to announce that DOOM FUJIYAMA has decided to restart as an independent label that will also serve as a distribution company. We have so far accomplished the release of three digital compilation albums with the support of Doom, Sludge, Stoner, Industrial, Powerviolence, and many other artists of various genres active in Japan since around April 2020.
In addition, we were able to hold about four real events.
While the mood of self-restraint was spreading among underground artists in the wake of COVID-19, we asked ourselves, “What can we do now? “And, “Can we recover some of what we could have done?” We have been asking ourselves.
We are grateful to everyone who has supported us in this project, which started as a counter to the current situation and has not become a passing thing.
We will continue to release compilation albums and hold events. We will also continue to distribute independent releases and artists’ works to further strengthen our contribution to the scene. We will make every effort to share a good time with you, the heavy music lovers, for as long as possible.
We hope you will support us in our new challenge.”
